Ford Use with New Mustang Car on NASCAR

For the past few years, Ford’s high-end NASCAR vehicles have resembled the sedan of the Fusion family. Next season, like the Xfinity series, Mustang will fight on NASCAR with. The earlier prototypes of the car seemed rather bulky, but the final version was successful as a design.

Mark Rushbrook, Ford’s president of global motor sport, said for the new car: “We have heard nothing but positive feedback since we announced in April that the Mustang will go to the NASCAR Cup level in 2019. Our performance team, a design team and a prideful heritage, would compete on the track with a Mustang. We hope to win the NASCAR Cup Series next year.”

When Ford started designing a new sports car, they wanted to give this new car a name to represent power. Vehicle designer John Najjar, was a fan of the P-51 Mustang plane which is used in World War II. Najjar suggested Mustang name to FordFord, accepted this suggestion because the plane was successful in World War II. So Ford‘s new vehicle was named Mustang.
