Sprint and LG will Produce 5G Smartphone for US Market

Sprint, the fourth largest GSM operator in the US, will release 5G-supported smartphones next year, along with South Korean electronics giant LG.

Sprint and LG‘s model or price of the 5G phone has yet to be disclosed. With the speed and flexibility that 5G technology can provide, it is expected that self-driving cars, virtual reality (VR) content broadcast over the Internet and telehealth technologies will be developed and widespread.

Sprint is not the only GSM service provider in the 5G race. Another operator, Verizon, will collaborate with Motorola to bring the Motorola Moto Z3 model, powered by 5G, to the market next year. AT&T started building 5G hotspots nationwide. Sprint will join T-Mobile next year.
